Time is gifted by the Gods (but the Devil has us waste it)

When you realise that
What you’ve been told 
Is a distraction to keep
You sleeping  
You release your shackles 
And unfold 
Like a butterfly 
You’re emerging 

 Right now up is down
And left is right
What was plausible 
Is now nonsense 
Where as before 
We chose our sides
The boundaries 
Have now blended

 The sooner you 
Put down your phone 
And listen less to 
What you’re spoon-fed 
The sooner you 
Will be set free 
To live a life
That’s you-led

 Each passing day 
Can’t be ignored
The sun’s rising 
Is a blessing 
Take ownership 
Release your power 
You are stronger 
Than you’re daring
